I received my formal training requirements from San Jose City College Cosmetology Department. After I graduated I chose to refine my skills in my craft. I apprenticed at Faux Salon for two years in their apprentice program to fulfill those requirements for myself. The criteria mainly included haircutting and hair coloring techniques. I have extended my knowledge and creativity through furthering my education with classes and workshops with Vidal Sassoon, Bumble & Bumble, Tony and Guy, and Redken NY.
My inspiration comes from many companies: Vidal Sassoon, Rusk, Tony and Guy, Bumble & Bumble. These companies have all had a great influence upon my skill and style of dressing hair.
My specialties are Haircutting, color work from corrective, double processed, highlights, and lowlights, to clients that are looking for a creative change.
My personal style of hairdressing is forever changing and growing. I work in a methodical manner. I listen well to my clients concerns regarding special needs. I feel that I guide clients with my knowledge as well as my creativity.

Each day is a new beginning, a chance to meet a prospective client and a chance to make a current client smile as they sit in my chair. Luck has nothing to do with where I am in my life, I’m here doing what I love because it was my personal manifestation.
Gabriel and Letna Campbell of Julian Chase Hair Design in Palo Alto are my inspirations as well as my mentors. I apprenticed for two years. Upon my completion of in salon and out of salon color and cutting classes, I felt confident and proficient in my knowledge of specialized haircutting techniques. I have extended my knowledge of Goldwell, Redken, and Frames color lines.
My personal forte lies in "Event Hair", highlighting, lowlighting, color correction, hair cutting, and resurrecting an old style to a new vibrant one.

As a young hairdresser I worked in a barbershop with my father, which influenced me to elevate my skills. My training and opportunity to assist at Vidal Sassoon in San Francisco has solidified my passion for classic and creative cutting. I was taught how to understand hair and see lines like you would learn in an art class.
Furthering my education with Toni and Guy Advanced Hair Academy, and becoming involved with Eufora International has empowered me to provide clients with a personalized look that suits them and their lifestyles. Having mentors and 15 years of continuous education drives me to consistently translate hair into works of art and boost the confidence of those that sit in my chair
Inspirations: Art, music, fashion, Vidal Sassoon.
Liesl McMahon • Stylist
Having a big interest in fashion since I was young, becoming a hairstylist felt like second nature to me.
I graduated from San Jose City Cosmetology program and proceeded to assist and work at Umbrella Salon. My advanced training includes Bumble & Bumble University in New York where I learned the creativity of the razor and personalizing a look to someone’s bone structure and hair texture. I also attended classes at Vidal Sassoon where I balanced my creativity with the precision cutting they are known for.
I work with the Goldwell color line and continue to take their current classes as well as being certified in the Yuko Straightening System.
My inspiration as a stylist is continually learning and sharing techniques with other stylist and tailoring my clients to their individual styles.
